Jenna and Brendan met and fell in love on Folly Beach, SC and decided it would be a good idea to spend the rest of their days together. While the COVID pandemic tried to derail their wedding day, the determined and creative couple rolled with the punches and created a smaller affair that was still so special and colorful. They pared down the guest list considerably, provided their guests custom floral fabric masks and sanitizer, and rented the lofty, spacious ballroom at Merchant's Hall, keeping their loved ones comfortable, happy and safe.
Bride Jenna wanted to remember her cherished departed sister by emulating the feeling of a garden party at the reception. A treasured pastime for the two women was picnicking outdoors in a garden or park, and her sister especially delighted in butterflies. On the big day, Jenna wore glittering brass butterflies in her hair, assembled a Memory Table with lovely photographs, and kept her florals bright and fun, in the spirit of her sibling. I'm not crying, you are.

Seasonal, locally farmed flower choices included blue thistle, multicolored zinnias, lavender, veronica, rust and sage-toned amaranth, mauve ammi, cheery yellow craspedia, astrantia, pinky snapdragons, waxflower, white and yellow asters, powdery purple delphinium, hypericum berries, and goldenrod. Foliage selections included several species of eucalyptus, asparagus fern, nandina, and tufts of cleaned Spanish moss. Centerpieces were comprised of wildflowers in eclectic rainbow colored bottles, atop rustic oak slabs with glittering gold votives and wisps of moss. A lush floating chandelier played triple-duty as a ceremony fixture, photo op, and sweetheart table feature.

Jenna and Brendan utilized historic Charleston's innumerable cheery walls and moody gardens for stunning portraits, taken by uber-talented Elizabeth Ervin. Evidenced by their gorgeously raw vows and easy, loving way they gaze at one another, this couple is the real deal. A lifetime of blessings to you both!
